Originally from Brooklyn, New York, he was brought up in a traditionally conservative Jewish education at a Talmud Torah in Boro Park, Brooklyn.

Michael literally grew up immersed in Jewish education and synagogue life and is sympathetic and understanding of the challenges faced by Jewish educators in supporting the needs of a diverse Jewish community. Michael attended public schools in Brooklyn, New York, received his Bachelor of Science degree from NYU in New York City, and his Master of Science degree from City University in Education.

Michael is equally at home on the pulpit, having officiated at more than 1,000 Bar and Bar Mitzvahs teaching in the classroom, or at a camp/retreat setting, and truly in any environment which might benefit from his unique and enthusiastic commitment to assist others in realizing a more fulfilling expression of Jewish traditions and rituals.

Because of his exceptional background of education, employment and life experiences, Michael is eminently qualified to work with your child in preparing them for this very special moment in their lives…Bar or Bat Mitzvah!
